Stone Village’s Cornerstone Prayer Team will be offering a self-guided labyrinth walk in honor of World Labyrinth Day on Saturday, May 4th from 10 – 11 am at the Lois B. Small and Gladys B. Hamilton Labyrinth Garden at OSU. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the Agricultural Administration Building at 2120 Fyffe Rd, Columbus, 43210; members of the prayer team will be present to lead you to the labyrinth. A labyrinth is not a maze. It is not a puzzle that has to be solved with many dead ends and false leads. It only has one path. Labyrinths are used as a walking meditation, for prayer, discernment, mindfulness, healing, spiritual transformation, and community building. They are very helpful in times of transition. The rhythm of walking, placing one foot in front of the other, empties the mind, relaxes the body, and refreshes the spirit. Labyrinths serve as a metaphor for life - a pilgrimage or journey. In life, as with the labyrinth, we don’t always know what the path will look like, the twists and turns, but we know the path will arrive at the center. As we walk a labyrinth, this metaphor of life often gives hope and understanding for our own journey. Please join us. No experience necessary. If you have questions, please contact Pastor John.
