Our Vision
As a community of faith, we believe that every human being is created and gifted by God; therefore, every human being is invited to be a real part of the church, regardless of background, belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, class, age or any of the other categories people use to separate or exclude. We believe that the goal of church is not to make people more religious but to help people be more fully human. Our ultimate goal is to grow in love and understanding of our creator, God, while simultaneously growing in love and understanding of one another. We invite you to join us for Sunday worship at 10:00 am & 11:30 am. Online worship offerings can be found on Stone Village's YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.
Can We Pray For You?
Stone Village's Cornerstone Prayer Ministry is a group of individuals, who seek to bring prayer to God
on behalf of those within our community and those beyond our community.
We Are
A worshiping community of 120 or so people. We are married couples, young families, children, young adults, LGBTQI, straight, Baby Boomers and singles.
A community of rich and diverse faith traditions; we have United Methodists, post-Evangelicals, Presbyterians, Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, Reformed, UCC, agnostics, atheists, and the ever popular "nothing."
An urban faith community, born and raised in central Ohio, located in the Short North Arts District. Our home is a modern facility with lots of windows, steel beams and concrete floors.
A sacramental community. We believe communion is central to our identity as God's Beloved as well as our work on behalf of God's hope for creation. We invite, without exception, all people to receive the bread and the cup.
A community with a lot of children. We celebrate children in our community and we encourage our children to be fully present and fully engaged in worship and community events. We offer SVC KIDS at the 10:00 am service.
We Believe
We believe that God reaches out to us in different ways. God is the creator of the universe and giver of all that is good. God is the savior—known boldly and intimately in Jesus life, which shows us how to live and love. God is the Spirit who enables us to make a difference in our world and in the lives of others.
We believe that every human being is created and gifted by God; therefore, every human being is invited to be a real part of the church, regardless of background, belief, sexual orientation, gender, class or any of the other categories people use to separate or exclude.
We believe that the goal of church is not to make people more religious but to help people be more fully human.
We believe that the Bible is a beautiful, God-inspired, complex, and challenging book. We believe that its message of grace matters most when we live it out in a way that people’s lives are changed (our own lives included).
We believe that we need each other. It’s a lot easier to follow God with friends than it is by ourselves.
We believe that we don’t have all the answers and that disagreement and discussion is healthy. Whatever specific things you believe about God or Jesus aren’t as important to us as is your desire to explore and be in community.
We believe that we are called to reach out to our neighbors both locally and globally and serve them in ways that make a difference.
We believe that spiritual practices like prayer, reading the Bible, participating in small groups, fasting, and tithing are vital to our faith.
