As the Lenten season approaches, Stone Village will be hosting a writing workshop to create daily Lenten devotional. The Lenten series will be published daily, beginning on Wednesday, March 5 (Ash Wednesday) and concluding on Sunday April 20 (Easter). What is a devotional? In simple terms, a daily practice of spiritual reflection. Typically, a devotional begins with a scripture reference, followed by a personal reflection, which may conclude with a prayer. The purpose of a devotional is to help the reader focus on God’s teachings as well as deepen and strengthen one’s spiritual life. The workshop will be held at Stone Village on Saturday, February 8 at 10:30-noon. Participants will write their personal devotion based on a scripture lesson of their choosing.
