On his last night before his betrayal and arrest, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and then gave them a new commandment to “love one another.” He illustrated his love for his disciples by washing their feet and sharing a simple meal of bread and wine with them, which today we know as Holy Communion. And so, we gather this night to celebrate Jesus' love and to remember the love we are to emulate in our own lives as his followers. Stone Village's Maundy Thursday service will include foot washing, song, prayer, a homily and the celebration of Holy Communion. Please note, children are welcome to attend, however, SVC Kids will not be offered during the service.
